A Personal Message from Me to You
Dear Friends,
NEXT TUESDAY, November 5th, will mark a decisive turning point in American history, one way or the other.
Should Donald Trump be elected once again to the highest office in the land, the lasting consequences will not be immediately apparent. But in due time there will come a reckoning.
And that reckoning may be the likes of one which you and I, and your children and my children, and their children and their children’s children, look back upon as the moment when they were betrayed, and many of them by their own family members and friends.
If you are among those who have casually turned a blind eye to what the landscape and the peoplescape of a dictatorship would be like, then I suggest you take a few moments to listen to or read one of the most sobering portraits of that reality. It is written by someone who knows of what he speaks.
His name is Dr. Timothy Snyder. He posted his message for the second time today. I encourage you to share it with all of your family members and friends, especially those who plan to cast their vote for Trump. You will be doing them and the nation a great favor, whether or not they accept the favor.
The final sentence in the final paragraph is the one they should most remember.
